Connect Your AI App To RapidMetrics
Connect the AI app you already use to your RapidMetrics workspace, then ask it about your funnels in plain English: how last week went, which ads and traffic sources made money, why an order didn't show up, or how to finish your setup. The app reads your RapidMetrics data to answer. It takes a few minutes.
Which apps work
In RapidMetrics, go to Integrations → AI apps. Every app has a card. A card without a label can connect today, and it has the steps:
- Claude: we've connected it end to end ourselves, on the web, in the desktop and phone apps, and in Claude Code (terminal or VS Code).
- ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok: they can connect, but we haven't connected them end to end ourselves yet. If a step doesn't match what you see, or something doesn't work, tell us which step in Help & Support.
A card with a label can't connect yet:
- Coming soon: the app can add connectors, but it can't sign in to RapidMetrics yet. We're adding it. Today that's Perplexity.
- Not possible yet: the app has no way to add outside apps.
Before you start
- You need to be an owner or admin of the workspace.
- Each connection is for one workspace. Several workspaces? Add one connection per workspace, for example "RapidMetrics - Main" and "RapidMetrics - Client A".
- Your AI app must let you add a custom connector, custom app or MCP server by web address. Some apps only allow this on paid plans: ChatGPT needs Plus or higher, on chatgpt.com in a browser. Gemini only allows it for personal Google accounts in the US. Each card says what its app needs.
Step 1: Get your connector link
- Go to Integrations → AI apps.
- Click Copy next to Your connector link.
Allow AI connections for this workspace is on by default. If it is off, turn it back on there or in your app's card.
Step 2: Add RapidMetrics to your app
Open your app's card under Integrations → AI apps and follow its steps. In every app you paste your connector link and leave any "client ID" or "client secret" fields empty. RapidMetrics doesn't use them.
Step 3: Log in and approve
- A RapidMetrics page opens: Connect an AI app to RapidMetrics. It names the app and where it will send you back to. Log in with your RapidMetrics email and password.
- The next page asks Allow access to "your workspace"? and lists what the app can read. Check the workspace name and click Approve.
Step 4: Ask away
Start a new chat and make sure RapidMetrics is switched on for it. Each card says where. Then try:
- How did my funnels do last week?
- Which traffic sources made the most revenue this month?
- Why didn't this order show up in RapidMetrics?
- Walk me through setting up my Facebook ads for attribution.
- Check my setup: what's broken?
- Check my account: how did this week go?
- Which ads should I scale, and which should I stop?
- Are my sales reaching Facebook?
Your app isn't listed?
Open the Any other AI app card, click Copy setup prompt and paste it into your app's chat. It tells the app what RapidMetrics is, gives it your connector link, and asks it to say first whether it can connect at all.
- Apps that run on your computer, like desktop apps and terminals, usually connect.
- A web app we haven't added yet shows a RapidMetrics page saying it can't connect yet. That's a safety check. Tell us the app's name on the card or in Help & Support and we'll look at adding it.
- If your app has no custom connector setting, it can't see your RapidMetrics data. Pasting the prompt won't connect it, and any RapidMetrics numbers it gives you would be made up.
Apps that can't connect
- Microsoft Copilot (copilot.com, Windows, phone): only Microsoft's own connections.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio: need your IT admin and changes on our side. Not available yet.
- Gemini for work (Gemini Enterprise): not available yet.
- Meta AI, DeepSeek and Poe: no way to add outside apps.
- n8n, Zapier and Make: not available yet.
Seeing what AI apps did
Every action a connected app takes in your workspace is recorded, reads included, with who approved the app. Click your profile icon (top right) → Logs → AI Activity.
Disconnecting
- One app: Integrations → AI apps → Connected apps → Disconnect.
- Pause everything: turn off Allow AI connections for this workspace. Connected apps stop working until you turn it back on.
- From everywhere: changing your RapidMetrics password disconnects every app you approved, in every workspace.
Your data
When you ask your AI app something, your question and the RapidMetrics data it reads to answer are sent to that app's AI provider (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI). When you ask about purchases, that can include buyer names and emails, and the buyer's visits: pages viewed, device and browser, IP address, and approximate country. Lists show emails masked. Connect only an app and account you trust with this data. Never paste passwords, API keys or access tokens into a chat. RapidMetrics will never ask for them there.
The app can also read your lead counts, your products, your Facebook ads with their results, and the events RapidMetrics sent to Facebook. If you give it a buyer's exact email, it shows that buyer's purchases, visits and Facebook events, with the phone number cut to its last four digits. If you allow changes, it can also list the people who opted in, with masked emails and the visit that brought them.
Troubleshooting
| You see | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Only workspace owners and admins can connect AI apps" | You're a member of this workspace | Ask an owner to connect it, or to make you an admin |
| "This account can't connect the workspace this app points at" | You logged in with an account that isn't an owner or admin of that workspace | Log in with the right account, or copy the connector link from the right workspace |
| "AI connections are not switched on for this workspace yet" | The switch is off for this workspace | Turn on Allow AI connections for this workspace in Integrations → AI apps |
| "This workspace's subscription isn't active" | The subscription has lapsed | Renew in RapidMetrics, then connect again |
| "… can't connect to RapidMetrics yet" or "RapidMetrics can't connect to this app yet" | RapidMetrics doesn't accept this app's sign-in yet | Check its card under Integrations → AI apps, or tell us which app you use |
| A page saying "Sign in as the RapidMetrics admin" | The app didn't tell RapidMetrics which workspace it's for | Close it and don't log in there. Contact support |
| The app asks for a client ID and client secret | Its automatic sign-in setup didn't work | Leave them empty and try again. If it keeps asking, contact support |
| Connected, but the app never uses RapidMetrics | It isn't switched on for this chat | Start a new chat and switch RapidMetrics on (each card says where) |
| The app says a RapidMetrics tool failed | A temporary problem on our side | Ask again in a minute. If it keeps happening, contact support |
| The app's number differs from the dashboard | A different period or timezone | Ask it which dates it used. Leads on the last few days can still be settling |
