Product Types Explained
Each product has a type describing where it sits in your funnel. Correct types ensure accurate revenue reporting.
Product Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Frontend | The main offer - counts the buyer in funnel metrics |
| Order Bump | Add-on purchased alongside the frontend on the order form |
| OTO #1 | First one-time offer after the frontend purchase |
| OTO #1 Downsell | Lower-priced alternative if OTO #1 is declined |
| OTO #2 | Second one-time offer in the funnel flow |
| OTO #2 Downsell | Lower-priced alternative if OTO #2 is declined |
| Backend | Follow-up offers sold after the main funnel |
💡 Only Frontend purchases count toward the "Buyers" metric. All types contribute to Revenue.
Products that a sale creates, or that a GoHighLevel sync brings in, start as Frontend. The exception is an order bump from ClickFunnels, which starts as Order Bump. Set the right type for each upsell, downsell, order bump and backend product in Products (see Managing Product Mappings). While a product is left as Frontend, its buyers count toward Buyers.
A ThriveCart sync marks order bumps as Order Bump, and upsells and downsells as "upsell" and "downsell". Change those to the right OTO type.
