Browser Pixel + CAPI Deduplication
RapidMetrics fires Facebook events via two channels: the browser pixel (client-side) and CAPI (server-side). Facebook deduplicates them using a shared Event ID.
Why Both Channels?
- Browser pixel captures real-time signals (click ID, browser info) for ad targeting
- CAPI reaches Facebook even when the browser pixel is blocked by ad blockers or iOS privacy rules
- Together they give Facebook a higher-quality optimization signal
How Deduplication Works
Every event gets a unique event_id. Both channels send it - Facebook sees both but only counts one. You can verify deduplication in Facebook Events Manager where events will show a "Deduplication" flag.
